The development will consist of the continued use and operation of the existing quarry and concrete batching plant, together with associated ancillary infrastructure and site works previously permitted under Cork County Council Plan File Ref. No. 19/6138 / An Coimisiún Pleanála Ref. ABP-307636-20. Permission is sought for the continued extraction and processing of limestone from the remaining permitted reserves; the continued operation of the existing concrete batching plant and associated ancillary infrastructure; the importation of aggregate from other permitted quarries and Article 27 / clean soil and stone material, where required, to support concrete production, aggregate recovery and progressive restoration of the quarry; and all associated ancillary site works. All for a period of 15 years, with a further period of 1 year to complete final restoration, and within an application area of approximately 4 hectares.
