Intend to apply for 10 year planning permission. Underground electricity grid connection cabling, substation and ancillary site works. The development will comprise (1) a grid connection consisting of medium voltage cables and ducting in a excavated trench with a total length of c.1194 meters which will be installed on private land and public roads (L-2216 & L-22161); (2) control/switching substation consisting of either (i) single storey block building or (ii) 2 no. modular units; (3) cable beam over grange hill stream; (4) provision of ring main unit (RMU); (5) and all associated site development and reinstatement works. The proposed development includes minor revisions to the approved layout of the solar farm previously permitted under Cork County Council planning reference 18/5760 comprising omission of substation and satellite mast, and provision of the above referenced RMU, and the addition of a cable beam and underground cabling. The purpose of the proposed development is to connect the permitted solar farm under reference 18/5760 to the national grid at the existing Ballincollig 38Kv substation.
