The St Gobnait’s Shrine Committee intends to apply to Cork County Council for permission for development at St Gobnait’s Well, 5 Bruch An T'sulain, Glebe, Ballymakeera, Co. Cork. The proposed development will consist of the provision of a single accessible car parking space within the site to facilitate vehicular access to St Gobnait’s Well. The development will also include the construction of a new vehicular entrance, driveway, and all associated site works. The works are within the St. Gobnait’s Monastery Special Policy Area and within the curtilage and setting of protected structures identified in both the 2014 and 2022 County Development Plans, including RPS 369 – Monastic Settlement (Teampeall Gobnaitan), RPS 1.306 – Glebe House, and RPS 1.362 – Porridge House.
