The upgrading/replacement of existing facilities treating the sludge and impurities removed during the production of drinking water at the Inniscarra Water Treatment Plant. The development includes construction of an extended access road, new tank structures comprising: 2 Thickening Tanks, a Sludge Blend Tank, 2 Sludge Silos, a Thickened Sludge Balance Tank, 3 Combined Washwater Balance/Settlement Tanks (or alternative arrangement of 2 separate Washwater Balance Tanks and 2 separate settlement tanks). The development also includes a Control/sludge treatment building, buried pipework, and all associated ancillary works on the site. Existing temporary sludge facilities on site, comprising 2 tanks, a lagoon and ancillary plant, will also be decommissioned and demolished.
