the development of a strategic Park & Ride facility located to the west of M11 Junction 6 at Fassaroe in the townlands of Fassaroe. The proposed development comprises a car park with a capacity of 388 parking spaces, including 26 spaces for mobility impaired users and 42 spaces for charging of electric vehicles. The project includes the construction of a new bus area that consists of two bus bays, two passenger shelters, and a designated turning circle. A new all-movement junction is proposed at Fassaroe Lane, incorporating a dedicated lane for right turning traffic. The existing bus lay-by on the northern carriageway of Fassaroe Lane will be removed. The development also plans to incorporate paved areas for bike shelters and lockers, facilitating connections for active travel and ancillary works. In accordance with Article 120 (1) (b) (i) of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (as amended), Wicklow County Council had concluded following the completion of an Environmental Impact Assessment Screening Report that there is no real likelihood of significant effects on the environment arising from the proposed development and that an Environmental Impact Assessment is not required.
