As part of the proposal, permission is also sought for minor amendments to Carlow County Council planning reference 20143 (An Bord Pleanala reference: 307891-20) comprising removal of 1837sqm of solar panels, provision of additional access tracks and focused removal of hedgerows to accommodate same, and the laying of 1,788metres of 33kV underground cabling for the purposes of future grid connection. Construction and operational access will be via entrances from the L-7111, L-3046 and L-3049. The operational lifespan of the solar farm will be 35 years. A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) has been prepared and will be submitted to the planning authority with the application.

(2) minor amendments to a neighbouring solar farm planning permission (Carlow County Council planning reference 20143 & An Bord Pleanala reference: 307891-20) to facilitate future grid connection and additional access tracks for the proposed development. These amendments will comprise of the removal of 1,837 sqm of solar panels, provision of additional access tracks and focused removal of hedgerows to accommodate same, and the laying of 1,788 metres of 33kV underground cabling for the purposes of the future grid connection. (3) Construction and operational access for the solar farm will be via entrances from the L-7111, L-3046 and L-3049. The operational lifespan of the solar farm will be 35 years.
