development will consist of the extension of the existing compost manufacturing building facility from 2,329m2 to 4,932m2. The work includes demolition of existing walls to facilitate the construction of the proposed works, remedial works at the existing building (3no. Animal By-Product rooms, preparation area and screening area) and extension of each extremity of the building to match the existing 12.35m height with 5.96m to the northwest and 12.19m to the southeast, and 6m height beyond this area. The extension area includes 1,982m2 to the southeast (containing 6 no. primary composting tunnels, 1 no. air filtration area and 2 no. fan rooms) and 621 m2 to the northwest (containing 1 no. air filtration area, dispatch area and composting bays). The proposed development includes all associate site works above and below ground (car parking, road, concrete yard, storage room, surface water pipes and weighbridge). The existing facility has relevant EPA licence permissions (245-01) to increase volume from 10.000 to 20,000 tonnes per annum and permission is now sought to align with this licence.
