The proposed development will facilitate the continued operation and restoration of the site, with the operational life of the quarry ceasing upon resource exhaustion, followed by resto-ration to agricultural and natural uses using imported material. The proposed development is within an overall application area of c. 16.3 hectares and is for a total period of 35 years (comprising an operational period of 33 years followed by 2 years for restoration). The application is accompanied by an Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR)
