to further develop the existing quarry and all associated site works. The Proposed Development being applied for under this planning application includes for the continuance of quarrying operations within the permitted extraction area to a finished floor level of 40 metres above ordnance datum (mAOD). The Proposed Development also includes for the continuance of operation of a concrete batching plant permitted under ABP PL 07.117549 (Pl. Ref: 99/1449). The extraction will take place within the existing quarry site boundary and permitted area. The proposed development comprises: • The continued extraction of limestone rock from an area measuring approximately 31 hectares to a finished floor level of 40 mAOD • Aggregate product stockpiles • The continued operation of the on-site concrete batching plant (permitted under planning permission Pl. Ref: 99/1449 and ABP PPL07.117549) • Earthen berm construction along the extraction boundary • Phased restoration of the site • The proposed development will utilise the existing quarry infrastructure including internal roads, site office, weighbridge, wheelwash, refuelling area, welfare facilities and other ancillaries. The development will include the use of conventional drilling and blasting techniques and the use of mobile crushing and screening plant. Permission is sought for a period of 27 years. An Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR) and Natura Impact Statement (NIS) have been prepared and will accompany the planning application
