for RETENTION planning permission for an existing c. 1.95 km, c. 0.125m diameter wastewater pipeline, which connects the wastewater treatment plant at Liffey Meats to the Mountnugent River, located approximately c. 1.96 km west of the Liffey Meats plant. The Pipeline route passes through the townlands of Cloggagh and Claddagh. Retention is sought for the pipeline, pumpstation, chambers and all associated infrastructure above and below ground. In addition, planning PERMISSION is sought for the removal of c. 10m of the existing rising main pipeline at the outfall location, to be replaced with a c. 10m gravity flow pipe (c. 0.225m diameter) and associated headwall. Planning permission is also sought for the use and operation of the pipeline to facilitate wastewater flow to the discharge point at Mountnugent River and the discontinuance of use of the existing outfall and associated pipeline to the Pound Stream and all associated works above and below ground. The proposed relocated discharge is facilitated under the existing discharge licence. No change to the quality or volume of the discharge is proposed as part of this development. The application relates to development for the purposes of an activity requiring a license from the Environmental Protection Agency under the Industrial Emissions Directive
