To build two separate sections of overhead electricity transmission line of single circuit 110kv construction. These will facilitate an underground connection to the existing line into Cookstown 110kv Station. The total length of these overhead lines will be approximately 60 metres. The proposed lines will be erected over, or in the vicinity of the following townlands, Kilnamanagh and Tymon North. The line will consist of three overhead wires. Where the line ends, lattice steel towers of either 15.0 or 18.0 metres height and with an average base area of 6 metres square will be used. Outlines of the structures and line location will be shown on the maps and drawings to be submitted with the application.

Erect a 110KV transformer, an end mast, extension of existing 110KV and 38KV busbars, and associated structures and equipment and part upgrading of inner and outer compound fence.

Alterations to the existing 110kV electrical transformer station, consisting of 2 no. 110kV to medium voltage transformers with bunding and associated oil/water interceptor, 2 no. 110kV gantrys to include surge arrestors and cable sealing ends, new 110kV to medium voltage building 9.15 meters high, 5 meter wide internal road connected to existing station road and removal of 2 no. steel masts 14.5m high, busbar on 5 no. steel portals, 2 no. transformer bays on steel supports and 2 no. line bays on steel supports.

To retain the existing permitted GSM base station installation comprising: 21m high monopole carrying 6.No. GSM antennas and 1.No. 0.3m diameter link dish/drum antenna together with associated telecommunications equipment container and security fencing. The development forms part of O2 Commuications Ireland Ltd mobile telecommunications network (GSM).

Attachment of 3 no. 3.9m omni antennas and 1 no. 0.25 radio link dish with associated equipment and cabinet to existing 21m monopole for use by the emergency services (Garda, Ambulance and Fire Brigade) for a new National Digital Radio Service (NDRS). The 3.9m omni antenna will protrude above the existing height of the 21m monopole giving a total height of 24.7m.
