Proposed Development
Construct a new bridge on the Grand Canal at Lynche's Lane on lands in the townland of Grange. The works will form part of a proposed pedestrian and cycle route between the Grand Canal, Adamstown and Griffeen Avenue. The proposed works comprise: (a) Construction of a bridge on the Grand Canal. This bridge will comprise either an openable bridge at Canal level, subject to agreement with the appropriate authorities or a bridge set above Canal level (particulars of both bridges shown); and (b) all associated works and modifications to existing landscaping and services. The development will also include modifications to the attenuation pond, and to the landscaping previously permitted under SD15A/0034. Temporary permission is also sought for 72 temporary construction worker parking spaces, temporary construction compound and temporary construction access from Grange Castle Business Park lands to the west. An Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR) has been submitted with this application.
