173 no dwellings consisting of 57 no. two-bedroom units and 116 no. three-bedroom units in a mixture of houses, apartments and duplexes ranging in height from 2-4 storeys. There are balconies and terraces within the development. A total of 222 no. car parking spaces are provided together with associated cycle parking spaces. Permission is also sought for the construction of a pedestrian walkway connecting the proposed Castlegate Row / Castlegate Copse with Adamstown Avenue. The details and finishes of this walkway are to be the subject of a future planning application. Minor alterations are proposed to the layout of pedestrian paths within the linear open space permitted under planning reg. ref. SDZ06A/2. Permission is also sought for the provision bin storage facilities, site development and landscape works, and the construction of surface water attenuation tanks, (c.1,820sq.m. in total) to serve this development and additional future development in the immediate area. Vehicular access to serve the development will be taken from Adamstown Avenue and Adamstown Station Access Road (Reg. Ref. SDZ06A/2). The application is being made in accordance with the provisions of the Adamstown Planning Scheme 2003, as amended by Variation No. 1. The development will take place entirely within the boundaries of Adamstown Strategic Development Zone as defined by Statutory Instrument No. 272 of 2001.

Site development and landscape works include the provision of a landscaped linear walkway from the vicinity of the permitted bus stops (Reg. Ref. SDZ06A/1) on Adamstown Avenue southwards to the two new primary schools. It is also proposed to construct c.550m of twin foul drainage rising mains (500mm and 350mm diameter). These are to be located within the Adamstown Station Access Road and Road A22. The proposed rising mains will be a continuation of those permitted under planning reg. ref. SD04A/0964). This application is being made in accordance with the provisions of Adamstown Planning Scheme 2003. The lands fall entirely within the boundaries of Adamstown Strategic Development Zone as defined by Statutory Instrument No. 272 of 2001.
