Permission for; the recommencement of sand and gravel extraction within part of the previously authorised pit (Plan File Ref. No. 11/06269, now expired), over c. 5.6 ha within an overall application area of c. 8.7 ha; extraction will be undertaken on a dry-working basis only, at a rate of up to approximately 60,000 tonnes per annum for a period of 15 years, followed by an additional two years for site restoration purposes; works will include use of the existing access, wheelwash, processing plant and settlement lagoons, together with the provision of a site office and welfare facilities (portaloo); aggregate processing ( crushing, screening, washing), stockpiling and dispatch will be carried out on site; restoration will involve regrading, placement of soils and seeding to return lands to agricultural and biodiversity-led uses.
