Construction of 1.38 km of conveyor to facilitate road crossing to transport material

10 Year Planning Permission for the continuance of use of an existing conveyor and associated infrastructure, including an existing culvert beneath the LP2208 Road (as permitted by Planning Reference 06/6387 and An Coimisoún Pleanála (ACP) Planning Reference PL.04.230318). The existing conveyor stretches circa (ca.) 1.38km, with the application area covering ca. 3.29ha, and will continue to be used for transporting aggregates from Garryhesta Pit to Classis for processing, avoiding the use of the Local Road Network. This application is soley for the continuance of use of this existing infrastructure, and does not seek permission for any new activities or works. A Planning Permission of 10 years is being sought.

The proposed development will consist of the construction of 2 no. natural grass Juvenile Gaelic playing grounds, installation of 2 no. high level ball retention nets, erection of 1.6m high fence, relocation of existing scoreboard and all associated site works. The development to be retained consists of a car parking area and associated public lighting resulting in condition no. 3 of the permission granted under An Bord Pleanála appeal case reference PL.04.102811 being superseded to allow for vehicular access and car parking.
