Planning permission for proposed modifications to building known as the former AIB Bank, (a protected structure), including part change of use of ground floor, (from commercial to residential) and part change of use of first floor (from commercial to residential) to accommodate one apartment/dwelling unit on entire of the first floor with access through ground floor in part, also installation of new first floor window on west elevation, fenestration alterations on north/rear elevation of main building together with fenestration alterations of east elevation of single storey ancillary buildings in rear/northern yard, removal of existing external steel staircase access located in rear/northern yard together with new pedestrian gate entrance to aforementioned rear/northern yard, for access from the adjoining public road together with all ancillary site works

Re-development of the former AIB building, works are to include the following: (i) Alterations to and partial demolition of the existing building including the demolition of the rear (north) two storey annexe and north facade, the demolition of single storey outbuildings and the single storey pop-out structure on the east elevation, the removal of some external and internal walls / partitions at ground and first floor levels; (ii) Modifications to the existing building elevations including the erection of advertising banners, external lighting, signage and automatic ticket dispensing machine; (iii) The construction of a three-storey extension to the rear (north) elevation including a terrace on east and north elevations at second floor level; (iv) The change of use of the building from a bank to a multi-purpose community-use building to include film screening/theatre space, function/event space, flexible office/meeting/workshop spaces, and ancillary uses including office/reception area, storage areas, and catering facilities including kitchen and service area for food/beverages (v) The installation of street furniture, railings, and landscape works, and (vi) All other associated development works

i.) Alterations to and partial demolition of the existing building including the demolition of the rear two storey annexe and north façade, the demolition of single storey outbuildings and the single storey pop-out structure on the east elevation, the removal of some external and internal walls / partitions at ground and first floor levels. ii.) Modifications to the existing elevations including a new entrance doorway on the western elevation, the erection of advertising banners on the front and side elevations and the removal of the existing ramp / steps as permitted under planning application reference number 09/763 and replacement with new entrance steps. iii.) The construction of a part single / part two-storey extension to the rear (north) elevation including a terrace at first floor level. iv.) The change of use of the building from a bank to an Event Centre, to include film screening room(s) / stage areas, ancillary offices, storage and archive rooms, kitchen and catering facilities including a fixed bar for catering purposes and supporting plant / utility rooms. v.) The installation of street furniture, railings and landscape works and all other associated works
