Development comprises of an overall application area of c. 15.4 hectares will consist of extension of an existing sand and gravel pit (c. 8.5 hectares) to 54mOD, including part extraction below groundwater level to a depth of 50mOD, (c. 4m below dry working extraction level); Continued use of existing sand and gravel pit process facility, canteen, fuel and storage area; All related ancillary and construction of the necessary site infrastructure for a sustainable operation, including provision of screening berms, overburden storage area, tree planting and landscaping works around the perimeter of the proposed pit extension area; All related landscaping works for the phased restoration of the pit area to agricultural grazing and water based nature conservation at their existing sand and gravel pit (Section 261 Quarry Reg no: QR032)
