The construction of a part single storey to part three storey stand alone extension to the south (rear) of Davis College Post Primary school, to cater for 625 pupils (area 5,003m sq) comprising of classrooms, laboratories, social area, administration rooms, special education needs unit and associated ancillary accommodation. Permission to include provision of hard playing areas, additional car parking ( 50 no. new spaces), upgrade works and re-alignment of Sexton's Boreen (subject to a separate application to Cork County Council) to the west to include a new pedestrian entrance to Gaelscoil Thomais Daibhis, the junction at the Old Cork Road and entrance to Meadow Grove, White Oaks and the The Orchard and re-alignment of road kerbing at the entrance to the codolines estate to the north west, demolition of 2 external stores, construction of covered open walkway to rear of existing school with minor alterations to existing fabric to accommodate access to the extension. Permsision is also being sought for the retention of the existing vehicular entrance from Sexton's Boreen, retention and re-alignment of car park to the north west of the school building (to achieve 28 parking spaces) and associated access way to the north west of existing school.
