Using existing weir on the River Foherish it is proposed to construct a small hydropower scheme. The scheme will comprise of minor repairs to the weir, the construction of an intake with screens, a pipeline 280m long, a water turbine in a 60sqm house and associated site works including internal access roads. The scheme will produce up to 300kW/h of electricity which will be sold into the national grid.
