Remedial works to rectify and prevent further erosion at the point at which Ervia’s Cork-Dublin gas transmission pipeline crosses beneath the River Bride. Permission is sought for: (a) the construction of c.40 lin.m of armour stone erosion protection along the south bank of the River Bride, (b) construction of a total of c.4 lin.m of armour stone erosion protection on the north bank of the River Bride, (c) stabilisation of an existing sheet pile retaining wall on the north bank by installation, underground, of 2 no. steel tie rods and 2 no. reinforced concrete anchor blocks, (d) placing of c.60 lin.m of armour stone scour protection along the toe of the existing sheet pile retaining wall, (e) minor improvement of the surfacing on the c.350m long existing farm road which is to be used to access the northern river bank, (f) modifications to the existing agricultural entrance from the R628, improvement of c.380m of existing farm road and construction of c.380m of temporary access road to enable access to the southern river bank, and (g) all associated ancillary and temporary site works
