Ballyhilty Water Treatment Plant Maulbrack Skibbereen Co. Cork

The proposed development to upgrade Ballyhilty Water Treatment Plan comprises of the construction of 2 no. 1526m³ raw water balancing tanks, a new chemical storage building and bunded chemical storage tanks, an additional process stream compromising of a contact tank, settling tank and filter tank, an extension to the filter gallery on the eastern side of the administration building and minor elevation changes to the west elevation of the administration building, sludge treatment works compromising of 2 no. equalisation and 2 no. sludge settling tanks, sludge thickener, a thickened sludge holding tank and sludge press building, 5 no. pumping kiosks, a new ESB substation and associated ancillary works. The existing raw water balancing tank and flurorsilicic acid bund will also be demolished.
