The upgrading/replacement and extending of the existing waste water treatment plant and installation of a new outfall pipe. The upgrading/replacement includes the extending of the existing Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) from a capacity of 1,600 population equivalents to 2,210 population equivalents. The demolition/disposal of the existing settlement tanks, sludge beds and tanks, control building, chemical storage and reinstatement of the area is to be included in the development. The existing oxidation ditch will be retained for future use. A Natura Impact Statement will be submitted as part of this planning application.
