Proposed Development

The development will consist of the change of use from retail to a (225sq.m) sub-divided unit consisting of a Pharmacy at the front and a Medical Centre at the rear with its entrance of Woodpark. The proposed Pharmacy (117sq.m) will include a nail bar (7sq.m), 2 consultation rooms, a disabled unisex WC and a shared escape corridor and new exit door with powder coated roller shutter at side of building to be used by both units. A new reconfigured aluminium glazed shopfront entrance with a disabled ramp. New signage in the existing signage zone and an illuminated LED projecting Pharmacy Cross at the side of the building along Woodpark. The proposed relocation of the existing public bin to the corner of the building. The proposed Medical Centre (105sq.m) will consist of the incorporating the existing covered yard by removing the existing perspex roof with a new concrete roof and building the wall level up to match the existing. The unit will also include 4 consultation rooms, a reception area, a waiting area, a unisex disabled WC, a staff WC and tea station. 7 no. security covered rooflights on both the existing and new flat roofs. The entrance will be off Woodpark and will consist of aluminium glazed shopfront with a disabled ramp, timber panelling to one side, illuminated signage and powder coated roller shutter. The existing rear single door is to be removed and the ope filled in. A 3.000m x 1.000m sign at the side of the building. It is proposed that the Pharmacy will retain the address, 1 The Rise, while the Medical Centre will be 1A, The Rise, Glasnevin, Dublin 9.
