Proposed Development

We have a query regarding the balconies granted as part of permission D22A/1037. These balconies have part of the glazing recessed slightly back from the building line but as this is an existing building it is going to be very difficult to construct this. The existing floor is a structural concrete slab, so we won't be able to cut this. This will result in a lot of cold bridging, and it will be difficult to make watertight. For these reasons we are proposing bringing the glazing forward to the building line to match where part of the balcony glazing already is. I have shown an example of this on the attached drawing. The top part of the drawing shows the balcony design that was granted permission and the bottom part of the drawing shows our proposal. As this won't change the elevation and therefore, we are hoping this can be done without having to go for planning for this alteration. This will be done on the first floor of 8 of the houses.
