Development at the site in Nantinan, Killorglin, Co. Kerry, for the phased infill with ca 21,000 tonnes of waste soil and stone (LoW 17 05 04) and a limited amount of inert construction & demolition material, as provided for under a waste facility permit and, where appropriate, under the provisions of Article 27 of the European Communities (Waste Directive) Regulations 2011. The infill plan for the site provides for a 5 metre setback from site boundaries and land drains: It is intended to raise the existing ground level of the 1.49 ha site to be no greater than the level of the adjacent Roadway L4035. The site will subsequently be used as a sorting and recycling facility for inert waste from Construction and Demolition activities, to produce recycled aggregates in accordance with National End-of-Waste Decision EoW-N001/2023. A Screening Report for Appropriate Assessment and Natura Impact Statement have been prepared in relation to the proposed development and has determined that with proposed mitigation measures the development, individually or in combination with other plans and projects, would not be likely to have a significant effect on any European sites.
