Astellas Ireland Co., Ltd., intend to apply for permission for development of a pharmaceutical ‘Fill-Finish’ production facility over two construction phases. The application seeks a 10 year duration of planning permission. The proposed development will include: (i) a 3 storey pharmaceutical ‘Fill-Finish’ Production Building with an overall total building floor area of 19,989 sqm and maximum height to roof parapet of approximately 24.63m constructed over 2 no. phases. (ii) a Central Utilities Building (CUB) with floor area of 663 sqm and maximum height to roof parapet of approximately 10.135m to include vent outlets. (iii) A Woodchip Boiler Building constructed in Phase 1, with a floor area of 359 sqm and maximum height to roof parapet of 9.26m to include 2 no. flues. (iv) Electrical Switch Room and ESB Sub-Station Building constructed in Phase 1, with a floor area of 37 sqm and maximum height to roof parapet of approximately 2.965m; (v) a Security Office Building constructed in Phase 1, with floor area of 63 sqm and maximum height to roof parapet of approximately 4.965m; (vi) a Sprinkler Pump House constructed in Phase 1, with floor area of 40 sqm and maximum height to parapet of approximately 4.21m with associated Sprinkler Water Tank; (vii) a Waste Water Pre-Treatment Plant, with 1 no. associated storage tank constructed in Phase 1 and a second associated storage tank constructed in Phase 2; (viii) Utilities and Services Yard (ix) Site infrastructure works (x) Site boundary fencing and site landscaping; (xi) A temporary contractor’s compound and parking area for the duration of the construction works. The applicant also intends to submit a concurrent planning application to alter electrical cable infrastructure on adjoining and overlapping lands. A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) has been prepared and will be submitted to the Planning Authority with the application.

Construction of a dual fire water retention / attenuation pond (c. 4,500m3), and an additional smaller surface water attenuation (150m3) pond with a combined site area of approximately 2,250m2 to include a 1.2m high perimeter fence. ii. Adjustments to positioning and layout of the approved car park to facilitate the proposed pond, with no change in total number of permitted spaces. iii. Adjustments to the approved internal road layout to include set-down area and turning circle. iv. Permanent permission for the existing 2.4m high temporary construction security fence in place of approved fencing at the northern boundary of the site. v. Associated works include re-alignment of the approved site drainage, adjustments to site levels and adjustments to the approved landscape plan.

Electricity Supply Board (ESB) intends to apply for permission for development of a 38 kV/MV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) Electrical Substation at this site (1.31ha) at Kerry Technology Park, Dromthacker, Tralee, Co. Kerry. The site is generally bound to the north by the Kerry Technology Park access road (subject to planning permission Ref: 2360295); to the east by the rear of residential properties; to the south by the Knockawaddra Road and the rear of residential and commercial properties along the Knockawaddra Road and to the west by an existing office building and associated car parking area. The proposed development will consist of: • Construction of a substation compound of approximately 2,006m2 gross area enclosed by a 2.6m high stone wall along the northern perimeter of the substation and a 2.6 m high palisade fence around the eastern, southern and western sides of the perimeter of the substation, with the following electrical plant within the substation: • 1 No. prefabricated 38 kV GIS module and foundation (c.31.0m2 and c.5.1 m high); • 1 No. prefabricated MV GIS module and foundation (c.34.0 and c.4.6m high); • 1 No. prefabricated Control Room module and foundation (c.34.0m2 and c.4.6 m high); • 2 No. 38/20 kV 10 MVA transformers and associated bunds (c.45.85m2, c.4.7 m high ea.); • 1 No. House Transformer (c. 7.4 m2 and c. 1.3 m high); and • All associated and ancillary outdoor electrical equipment and other apparatus, including installation of underground cables. • Internal access road within the proposed substation compound. • Site access road and footpath from the existing internal technology park road and footpath. • All associated site development works above and below ground including provision of lighting, boundary fences, landscaping, site services including drainage and all other works.
