The proposed development is Phase 1 of a €20 Million recycling facility in the J17 National Enterprise Park in Portlaoise for post-consumer plastic drinks bottles and aluminium cans. It involves the construction of a recycling plant with an annual capacity of 35,000 tonnes on a fully serviced 1.62 hectare (ha) site. It will be the first "bottle to bottle" recycling plant in Ireland
