(1) A double height side extension (floor area 310 sq.m); (2) the incorporation of the existing children's front play area (36.25 sq.m) into the refurbished Superquinn Unit with the provision for an in store cafe with a combination of a new full and half height glazed elevation to the 4 no. existing blank panels adjacent to the supermarket entrance; (3) the provision of 1 no. additional rear external fire escape stairs serving the existing first floor staff area and the removal of the existing internal staircase and its replacement with a new enclosed staircase originating in the area of an existing redundant rear store; (4) the removal of all existing Superquinn signage and its replacement with new corporate signage to the replacement rendered panels over the full height front windows to the front elevation; (5) 9 no. new block lights to the front elevation (1 per bay); (6) first floor internal alterations to the staff areas and (7) a 7.9m high x 2.45 wide freestanding estate signage structure at the south west corner of the site.

The removal of all existing prefabricated buildings and the demolition of the existing St. Colmcille's Junior and Senior National Schools in order to construct a new 3 storey 64 classroom school building located in the approximate position of the existing Junior School main buildings. The total floor area will be to 11,327 sq.m to include a 171 sq.m basement at the northern end. Ancillary areas will include General Purpose Rooms, Libraries, Meeting Rooms, Special Education Rooms, 3 no. Atriums, Junior and Senior School Administration Offices. Playgrounds will be located on the southern and eastern side of the new building and, when the Senior School building is demolished, on the northern side. Works will include the rearranging of the access road and car park on the western side accessed from Idrone Avenue. During the construction period, it is intended to relocate the Senior School students in a temporary prefabricated structure at Ballyboden St. Endas G.A.A. Grounds, Sancta Maria College, Ballyroan, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16. This Protected Structure will be the subject of a separate planning application. For the duration of the building contract, the Junior School Students will be located in the existing main Senior School building.
