The Sluice Weir is a Protected Structure in the South Dublin County Development Plan (Ref. 054) and is listed (Ref. 11201017) in the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage. The overall development spans the administrative areas of South Dublin and Fingal County Councils and planning applications are being made concurrently to both Planning Authorities.
