Variations to the plan submitted and granted planning permission, reference no. SD05A/0695. The variations proposed and hereby submitted consist of the reduction in size of the lift shaft and relocation of a smaller lift with direct external access to ground level, the retention of existing first floor office window and emergency exit from bridge hall lobby and the replacement of orignal smokers shelter on the site. Templeogue House is referred to in South Dublin Council's Record of Protected Structures - Schedule 2 of the South Dublin County Development Plan 2004 - 2010 under map ref no. 240. Templeogue House is identified in the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage (NIAS) interim county survey for the South Dublin County area which was published 15/11/02 under Reg. No. 11216013. The NIAS rates the structure as being of architectural, archaeological and social interest and of regional rating. The subject site is located within recorded monument site SMR Ref. DUO22 - 010 which refers to a tower house.
