The construction of a 3475 sq.m demountable prefabricated 30 classrooms and ancillary rooms 2-storey school building to the northern side of the Prunty Pitch for a temporary period of 2 years from the issue of the commencement notice. This temporary building is required to accommodate St Colmcille's Senior School Students during the construction of the main school building applied for under Register Register SD09A/0304. The proposal will necessitate accessing and exiting the grounds through the GAA Club's entrance on the green route beginning at 8 a.m on school opening days. There are protected structures within the curtilage of this property.

The proposed works also involves some minor alterations to the existing western elevation of the Convent Building, incorporating the reduction in the cill height of an existing window by 700mm to facilitate the provision of an emergency escape door.
