On the River Shannon , at Grace Road , Ranelagh

The development consists of the installation of 72m of floating mooring, access gangway and construction of a new access plinth and path connecting to existing path. Installation of a single 9m length unit with lower freeboard for canoes. Cleaning and small amount of dredging (approx 65m3) of the area beside the existing quay steps to improve access for small boats and canoes. A Natura Impact Statement and Ecological Impact Assessment have been prepared and included as part of the planning application.
