Construct a new crushed stone track in order to create a walking & cycling greenway which will follow the edge of the Blessington Lakes together with the upgrading of the existing tracks commencing in the town of Blessington and following a route close to the shoreline through the townlands of Baltyboys Lower, Tulfarris, Rathballylong, Baltyboys Upper, Monamuck, Valleymount, Annacarney, Carrigacurra, Ballyknockan, Ballynastockan, Lackan, Sroughan, Carrig, Knockieran Upper, Knockieran Lower, Blessington and Burgage More and the villages of Valleymount, Ballyknockan and Lacken before returning to Blessington at Knockieran Bridge. Upgrading works will include widening of existing track and laying of geotextile with a surface layer of crushed stone surface. Construction works will involve shallow excavation, laying of geotextile with a surface layer of crushed stone surface, placement of apprx 100 culverts, 18 light bridges over larger streams, fencing and minor landscaping
