We, Bluemont Developments (Midleton) Limited, intend to apply for permission on lands at Knockgriffin (Imokilly), Knockgriffin (Barrymore) and Water Rock, Midleton, Co. Cork. Permission is sought for amendments to part of the development previously permitted under planning reference 21/7265, to consist of the construction of 97 no. residential units in 2 no. blocks ranging in height from 3-7 storeys. The application site is generally bounded by Northern Relief Road to the north, CGI Food Park to the south and agricultural land to the west. The proposed development will consist of the following: Block A: a 7-storey apartment building comprising 75 units (36 no. 1 bedroom units, 27 no. 2 bedroom/3 person units and 12 no. 2 bedroom/4 person units), with associated private balconies to the east and west elevations; bin store; plant and switch room; green roofs and pv panels at roof level. Block D: a 3-storey duplex/apartment building comprising 22 units (11 no. 1 bedroom units and 11 no. 2 bedroom/4 person units), with balconies/terraces to the southern elevation. The development will also consist of a total of 79 no. car parking spaces (23 no. surface level and 56 no. undercroft/courtyard level, 19 no. spaces are within the application red line boundary but are to serve apartment Blocks B&C); 172 no. bicycle parking spaces (including 4 no. cargo spaces); landscaping, communal and public open space, boundary treatment; public lighting; as well as all associated site and infrastructural development works necessary to facilitate the proposed development.
