Permission for redevelopement of the existing convent and former school building at Fair Street, Mallow. This redevelopment comprises (i) the refurbishment and conservtion repair of the convent building (ii) demolition of parts of the convent, namely the three storey north-west wing, the upper two floors of the north -east wing, the single storey sacristy area, outoffices and covered walk, (iii) the erection of a new three storey extension to the rear of the convent linked to the main building (iv) erection of new outoffices to comprise garden stores, clothes drying area and bin compound. In addition it is intended to redevelop the former school building to change it's use to residential accomodation comprising 4 no. single living apartment units. The works also comprise associated site works to include landscaping, car parking, provision of a new covered walk and amenity areas, provision of vehicular access to the bungalow at the main entrance from the private entrance drive to the convent together with connections to the existing drainage and water supply services. The convent building is listed as a protected structure in Mallow Town Council Development Plan.
