Retention of minor alterations to the existing Grant of Permission SD22A/0345 comprising; Revised arrangement of fire escape door and window, at stair core no.2, replacement of freestanding metal lettering with self-illuminated lettering for the "Weston airport" sign on the front canopy, and the termination of the overhanging canopy at western side of new foyer, all on the Northwestern side of the terminal. The alteration and relocation of escape stairs 3, by 2.78 m to the southeast, on the Southwestern side of the terminal. The omission of the customs office, and changes to the arrivals and departures lobbies and the replacement of freestanding metal lettering signage with 2 No. backlit wall mounted signs (flags) on the Southeastern side of the terminal. Also applied for are alterations to previous Grant of Permission consisting of the omission of the proposed second-floor offices, and the omission of new openings in parapet walls at second floor level facing the runway.

Alterations, extension and upgrades to the existing terminal building and all ancillary site development works; The proposed development, resulting in an increase of c. 313sq.m. Internal and external alterations to the approved Ancillary Fire Station and Education Building (permitted under Reg. Ref. To give full view of runway and taxi ways, the retention consists of relocated Control Tower from its centre position on the roof of office / club house to front elevation with greatly reduced size of the display and visual part of the control tower (improving elevational aspect) and slight increase in height by 0.775m and the consequential relocation and the retention of navigational aid equipment from Control Tower to 2 number storage areas internally under the Control Tower achieved by lowering the ceiling height of the first floor by 1.945m. Also the consequential relocation and retention of lift shaft internally, thereby avoiding direct entry to Control Tower. The height of the lift shaft is increased by 1.5m. The retention also incorporates necessary security arrangements by changing the use of the ground floor by the provision of office accommodation and reception at ground floor and slight increase in bar area and reduction in office space at first floor. The application also includes the proposed use of the unrooofed areas behind the perimeter parapet walling for air handling units and ventilation equipment. The Proposal seeks to make minimal external changes to external South East elevation of the terminal building. The proposal would see replacement glazing & a reduced cill height at first story level. Ultimately the changes of the cill height are minimal & represent a less than 3% alteration to the fabric of the south eastern elevation which measures at a height of 14.03m (as shown in table 4.1 below & displayed in figure 4.1)

6 no. windows (3 no. on ground floor and 3 no. on first floor) on the north west elevation of the existing fire station and for the retention of the realign of glass screen to the south east elevation of the existing fire station (Planning Ref. No. SD05A/0313 (An Bord Pleanala Ref. No. PL 06S.213052). The realignment consisted of the narrowing of the screen from 8.8m to 5.6m and increasing its height from 6.5m to 11.9m. Significant Further Information: Permission to install 6 no. windows (3 no. on ground floor and 3 no. on first floor) on the northwest elevation of the existing fire station as revised will consist of the retention of the realignment of the existing glass screen to the southwest elevation of the existing fire station.
