Permission is now sought for a further three years.

These units would have floor areas of 18 sq.m, 58 sq.m, 25sq.m 24.7sq.m and 23sq.m respectively. It is also proposed to provide a glazed porch (7.6sq.m) and circulation area (75sq.m) to serve as an additional access to a previously approved Events Area (Reg. Ref. SD05A/0966) located to the rear of shopping centre and to provide a central seating area of 48sq.m to serve the cafe users site within the circulation area, The proposal would have consequent minor elevational changes to the rear of the centre.

The variations involve: (1) amalgamating approved unit 102 at first and second floor level with existing units 61/62 at ground floor level to form a single retail unit, (of 2687sq.m.) (2) amend (a) the rear wall of units 101 & 102 at first and second floor level by reducing their projection by 1 metre in depth, (b) omit part of rear parapet wall and rear roof light and (c) amend location of fire escape doors at ground floor level in rear elevation.

Access to the new retail floors will be from a new escalator in the Central Atrium together with additional staircases, fire escapes and from the existing Food Court. New elevations which match the existing are proposed to the rear of the Centre.
