The development will consist of: · Works at 20 No. locations along the Turbine Delivery Route (TDR) to facilitate abnormal loads for the delivery of turbine components to the Gortloughra Wind Farm. These works can be reinstated on completion of the turbine deliveries or left in-situ with the agreement of the landowners and Cork County Council. The parapets of 2 no. bridges on the L8544 and the L4607 will need to be temporarily lowered to allow abnormal vehicles to cross those bridges. · Temporary works at 2 No. locations on the R585 where blade handover locations will be developed to allow the transfer of turbine blades to and from a blade lifter trailer to facilitate the transport of oversize turbine blades through the village of Crookstown. Works will involve the creation of 2 site entrances at each location for access and egress purposes and the laying of hardcore material to allow vehicles to enter the sites and transfer blades between trailers. A 10 year permission and a 2 year operational period from the contruction of the works is being sought.
