Permission for development consisting of a solar farm development comprising of: the installation of photovoltaic panels on ground mounted frames in rows; a 38kV ESB electricity substation compound including a single storey substation building and electrical infrastructure; up to 23 no. single inverter stations (or an alternative string inverter provision); ducting and underground electrical cabling; provision of some new internal access tracks and use of some existing agricultural tracks; storage containers; perimeter fencing; pole mounted CCTV cameras; vehicular access via existing private roads that connect directly to the L50783; construction of 2 no. passing bays along the L50783 and all associated site development and landscaping works. All on a site of approximately 37.97 hectares. The solar farm will have an operational lifespan of 40 years and an estimated export capacity of 30MW approx. of electricity.
