Consists of Site development works including (i) site excavation and regrading of the existing levels of that part of the site to the west of the existing Biologics facility and to the east of the on-site wind turbine; (ii) the creation of new landscaped berms along the north western site boundary; (iii) the relocation of 3no. existing single-storey 360m2 pre-fabricated temporary modular office units to the existing car park for a period of 5 years; (iv) the erection of 1no. single-storey 360m2 pre-fabricated temporary modular office unit at the existing car park for a period of 5 years; (v) the construction of 95no. temporary car park spaces, for a period of 5 years, to replace the car park spaces required to accommodate the temporary modular office units; (vi) the relocation of 2no. existing fire water storage tanks and an existing firewater pump house to a location close to the southern boundary of the site as well as the creation of new landscaped berms along this boundary; and (vii) all associated works, including modification of internal underground services and drainage at the existing facility at Barnahely, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork. This application relates to development which comprises an activity which holds an Industrial Emissions Directive License (Reg. No. P0778-01).

The development will include local site works, footpaths and underground service connections. The batteries will be housed in 8 no. metal containers with external air conditioning units, each container will have a Gross Floor area of approximately 41.8sq.m. Permission is also sought for 8 no. inverter stations, 1 no. on-site substation, 1 no. 38kv transformer, underground cables and ducts, a new entrance to the public road, boundary security fence, new internal access track, security lighting, CCTV cameras and all ancillary services and works. Planning permission is sought for period of 10 years.
