The development will consist/consists of: Using the existing weir on the River Foherish it is proposed to construct a small hydropower scheme. The scheme will compose of minor repairs to the weir, the construction of an intake with screens, a pipeline 280 metres long, a water turbine in a 85sq. metre house. The scheme will produce up to 300kW/h of electricity which will be sold into the national grid.
