Using the existing weir on the River Foherish it is proposed to construct a small hydropower scheme. This scheme will comprise of minor repairs to the weir, the construction of an intake with screens, a pipeline 280m metres long, a water turbine in a 60sqm house and associated site works including internal access roads. The scheme will produce up to 300 kW/h of electricity.
