Planning permission for a new office building and data centre within the existing facility. The proposed development includes the construction of a 4 storey office building with an elevated atrium, a screened roof top plant area and roof top satellite dishes; a single storey data centre building with rooftop plant/air handling units; a 4 storey multi-storey car park with bicycle storage, dry room and staff locker rooms; the addition of a single storey deck to an existing car park; and all associated landscaping, fencing, signage and site development works. The proposed site development works include the relocation and replacement of the existing water tank and associated pumping station; the construction of 2 no. substations, an extension to and the re-cladding of the existing chiller block; an extension to and the re-cladding of the existing energy centre; the erection of a boiler flue; the installation of a pumping station and 8 no. generator units with 4 no. ancillary fuel tanks. Access to the proposed buildings will be via the existing access road and the proposed development includes modifications to the existing entrance arrangements. The proposed office building will be constructed in 2 phases over the period of the permission.

This development is covered by the provisions of the Renewable Energy Directive III (Directive(EU) 2023/2413) and it is important to note that the planning application may be subject to section 34D of the Planning and Development act 2000, as amended. When a notice issues in accordance with section 34D(b), the provisions of article 26A of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 to 2025 shall apply.
