The proposed development does not involve fundamental change from the present day on-site operations and will provide a beneficial alternative to the use of fossil fuel on the site. There will be no construction works associated with the proposed development. There will be no intensification of past use, no new emission points and no exceedance of the capacity thresholds and limits set in the existing Industrial Emissions licence. The proposed development is covered by an existing Industrial Emissions Directive Licence No. P0006-03. As the development refers to a modification to an establishment to which the Major Accident Directive applies information as specified in the Third Schedule of the Major Accident Regulations will be submitted with the application.

10 Year Permission sought for construction of a small scale production facility. The facility consists of four storey extensions totalling 2774.39sqm in area and 22.2m in height to the south, east and north ends of the existing production building PB1A. The development will comprise production fit-out within the existing PB1A structure and the extensions will include production areas and production support facilities to the south, lift motor rooms and stairs enclosures to the north, service distribution enclosure to the east and enclosed plant room/open plant area at roof level. The existing east/west corridor will be extended to provide 722.65sqm over two storeys and 9.7m in height. A new single storey electrical substation with basement will be provided with a total floor area of 147sqm and 5m in height above ground.
