PROTECTED STRUCTURE: Permission for development (343 sq.m) at nos. 9/9A Aungier Street, Dublin 2 which are protected structures (RPS ref. 295 & 296), Registered Monuments (NMS ref. DU018-384) and are located in the Aungier Street Conservation Area. A change of use from residential to office is sought for the ground floor entrance corridor, stairs and for all three floors above ground floor level. The development will consist of: the demolition of the existing single storey out buildings (4 sq.m approx.) at ground floor level, the removal of non-original timber stud wall partitioning, the removal of non-original brick infill to the existing fireplaces, the construction of a new flat roof storage area to the rear yard (6 sq.m), the removal of existing fill material in the basement rooms and repair works to the existing timber stud and brick panelled wall and a new access door to same. Miscellaneous internal repairs and minor modifications are proposed including provision of new fire doors and strengthening and levelling works to the existing floors. New toilet and kitchenette facilities are proposed to the north-east side of building. Works to the existing roof will comprise the installation of four new roof access hatches, new chimney cowls and roof tile vents. New heating, ventilation, electrical air conditioning and fire suppression services installations are proposed throughout. New mechanical plant to be located on the flat roof of the new storage areas to the rear yard. New builders works are required to existing floors and ceilings to create new services routes for proposed services as required. Site works relating to the connection to existing water and drainage services are proposed at ground floor at the rear of the building.
