Construction of a slipway; demolition of the existing Bull's Nose structure at the outer end of the Breakwater Pier and its replacement with a new structure incorporating a storm gate and an extension to the end of Duffy's Pier; excavation, dredging and reclamation works including the construction of an armoured embankment at the seaward side of the new Bull's Nose structure and the reclamation of part of the Inner Basin to facilitate road widening and realignment, parking, lay down and landscaping works

Alterations to Duffy's Pier. The works will raise, widen and strengthen the pier and will include filling, sheet piling, reinforced concrete and associated works. Demolish an existing Control Building and construct a new Control building in its place to suit revised pier levels. The spine wall dividing the inner and outer basins will be altered locally so that the inner basin can continue to be closed off by stop logs in an emergency. The Planning Application will be accompanied by a Natura Impact Statement.
